ABOUT WEMI
Before we dive in, I have a little confession: I'm a very delusional person. I come from a line of delusional thinkers, and coupled with audacity and inspired action, that delusion has built me a life I feel incredibly proud of.
If that sounds unhinged, let me tell you what I actually mean.
“Delusion isn’t about ignoring reality. It’s about shaping it.”
Delusion built this.
As a teenager, my delusional belief that I was meant to be somewhere other than Nigeria is what brought that dream to life. It's what carried me across the world, and it's the reason I've been in the United States ever since. It's what it took, years later, to walk away from a dream I'd had since I was six years old — becoming a lawyer — right before I was supposed to apply to law school. It's what it took to move to Los Angeles with just $1,500 in my bank account and thirty days to make it work.
I've now been in LA for twenty years.
Delusion is also what it took, more recently, to leave a high six-figure career at the top of my game — in advertising, tech, and entertainment — because I wanted more. I wanted success on my terms. Delusion, audacity, and inspired action gave me the courage to risk what I'd already earned for the possibility of what I could build. I now have a thriving coaching practice, a community of over 800,000 people across social media, and a forthcoming book with HarperCollins.
None of it would have been possible if I'd waited to feel qualified or ready.
The people who need this work most are usually the ones convinced they don't deserve it.
I know, because I was one of them for a long time.
I spent years believing that success meant permission from someone else. Someone had to hire me. Someone had to say yes. Someone had to see something in me before I could see it in myself. Nothing was easy. Life kept challenging me, and the challenges kept teaching me who I actually was.
Everything I've learned about myself came from being stretched.
In my twenties, I used to get so frustrated at how relentless life felt. One damn thing after another. I remember asking, Excuse me — is there ever going to be a time when I don't have problems? I felt attacked. Singled out. I didn't know then what I know now: nothing is happening to me. It's all happening through me and for me.
What if the very thing you're resenting is the thing that's building you?
A little fun fact about metalwork. Did you know that in order to change the microstructure of metal and bring out the physical and mechanical characteristics that make it more valuable — stronger, more useful, more beautiful — you have to put it through heat treatment? You heat it. You cool it. You heat it again. You bang it out. You put it back in the fire.
If you didn't know what you were watching, you'd think it was a horribly violent process. Why would anyone do this to a piece of metal?
To forge something. To shape it into its best version.
Fear has its place. So does suffering. So do challenges. As much as joy. As inspiration. As inspired action.
They’ve all been put in place to forge the best version of you.
Perfectionism is often just fear with really good PR.
My work is about helping you use what you have, right now, before you feel ready. Because ready is a lie perfectionism sells us. The most successful people in the world aren't necessarily the smartest or the most talented. They're the ones willing to evolve, adapt, and rewrite their narrative before the world gives them permission.
I coach across three pillars: Clarity, Audacity, and Alignment.
And I've watched this work change lives. Career pivots that felt impossible. Salary negotiations that ended in six-figure jumps. Businesses launched in the middle of crises. The through line, every time: someone deciding to be delulu about their own potential before they had proof.
MY COACHING METHOD
-

CLARITY
Get honest about what you actually want, not what you've been taught to want, and what's been getting in the way.
-

AUDACITY
Build the belief, courage, and inspired action to go after it, even when the path isn't yet visible.
-

ALIGNMENT
Move through the world in a way that matches the vision. Sustainably, with self-trust, without shrinking.
You don't have to be exceptional to build something extraordinary. You just have to be delusional enough to try.
If you're here, something in you is already reaching for more. My job is to help you take that reach seriously.
Whether we work together one-on-one, whether you find something you needed in my writing, or whether you just came to see what this whole "Big Delulu Energy" thing is about — I'm so glad you're here.
